Google Maps
Use Google Maps Australia (a free tool) to list all your business locations, making it easier for your potential clients to find you. Work through the steps and add links to your website and select the most suitable category for your business.
Google Alerts
Wouldn't it be nice to know everything that is said about you, your company and your products online? With Google Alerts, it's as easy as choosing the right keywords and receiving daily emails. Set up alerts for your spokesperson, your company and product names and even your competitors.
Define your target market and traffic
Are potential investors or your customers most likely to look for you online? A lot of this depends on your business type, the aim of your business and who your customers are. Defining your target market will help to deliver successful online marketing campaigns. It will also help in defining where this traffic will be coming from - great when you have to work within a budget and time frame.
Keyword Analysis
This is an important process which lays the foundations for your online marketing campaigns. Keywords are the terms or phrases which customers are likely to search under. A good example would be for a musical instruments retailer - even though 'music' is a likely keyword, musicians are more likely to search under the name of the instrument they play.

Google Analytics
As with all strong marketing campaigns, you will need to set clear goals in order to be able to review, revise and repeat what's working. Google Analytics is a free reporting tool which provides you with truck-loads of real-time data at your convenience. For now, it is best to set up an account as we will continue with this when Websites are covered next week.
